Gramvousa & Balos Lagoon – Cruise to Cretan Paradise

Join us on a full-day adventure to northwestern Crete, where nature, history, and postcard-perfect beaches come together for a truly unforgettable experience.

After hotel pickup, your journey begins with a scenic drive across the island. Along the way, your guide will share fascinating insights into Cretan culture, history, and landscapes as you make your way to the port of Kissamos.

From there, we board the boat and set sail through the dramatic coastline of western Crete, where you’ll witness a unique geological phenomenon: the western part of the island is slowly rising, while the east is sinking – clearly visible along the rugged shoreline.

Our first destination is Gramvousa, often called the “Pirate Island.” This uninhabited islet boasts a stunning beach perfect for swimming and sunbathing. For those seeking a bit of exploration, a short 20-minute hike leads to a Venetian fortress perched high above, offering breathtaking panoramic views.

Back on board, relax with a drink or enjoy lunch as we continue to our next stop – the world-famous Balos Lagoon.

Balos is one of the most iconic and photographed beaches in Greece. Its turquoise shallow waters, white-pink sand, and wild natural surroundings create a magical setting. You’ll have plenty of free time to swim, walk, take photos, or simply unwind in this exotic paradise, protected under the NATURA 2000 conservation program.
